昨天休息，他和朋友徒步在邻居家上门推销，我心想，这也就是个锻炼吧，他是一个很shy的人，能有这样的举动就是进步。还别说，他们昨天还真卖出去两本。
回来吃饭时，他有些疑惑的问我，妈妈，我们走了那么多家，为什么都是“美国人”在买杂志？
我想了想，回答说：也许因为是语言的关系吧，老美生于这，长于这，对这里的一切都是nature的认同，他们也许从小家里就给他们定一些杂志，所以他们很自然的就对这些杂志很熟悉，一看是good deal，又是两个单纯的中学生来敲门，不用多想，就定了。
但是我们中国人家庭，大部分是在自己的国家成长的，20多，30多，甚至40多岁才来到美国，语言本身对他们就是一个需要适应的问题，在加上对这些琳琅满目的杂志不熟悉，不会马上就考虑做决定，这应该是可以理解的吧。
他听了，有些认同。
给孩子的对话后，我决定给孩子定一些杂志，以前，老觉得他写作不够好，知识面局限的很，可想想，自己给他创造这样的环境了吗？家里除了ipod，就是ipad，imac，哪有他随手可极可以消磨时光的杂志呢？
应该给孩子定什么样的杂志？我在文学成子女教育做了个research，最后初步决定给6年级的孩子从下列杂志中订几个：

这篇文章真是非常有用，已经保存下来，谢了！ 去年就和孩子爸爸考虑过给宝宝们订杂志，不过我们知道的孩子类的杂志，都是要上小学以后才可以的。我们看得杂志，孩子们还没有办法产生兴趣，最多看看National Geography 的动物图片。
现在可以好好研究list 里面2-6岁和三岁以上孩子可以看的杂志，给他们订一到两套（主要是怕订一套，两个小家伙打架：-）

我家到一直有订杂志，不过种类没那么多。大A自己挣来的Highlight杂志，还有National Geography。 其实你家老二应该不必看for kids的了，他的阅读能力成人版的也没问题。这个杂志我们也很喜欢，图片非常漂亮。
Time for kids订过一阵儿，大A不太感冒就停了。想等他再大些订New Yoker.
